To make learning easier and more enjoyable, Dr Bakama started a YouTube channel in 2019. On the channel, he conducts online tutorial sessions covering class content and various activities. Initially created to assist students with their studies, the channel has grown into a valuable resource for anyone interested in operations management and related topics. Class projects
Class projects, engage Dr Bakama’s students in dynamic group projects under his guidance. Initially, these projects focused on analysing how operations management concepts are applied in real-world organisational settings. However, recognising the high unemployment rates and the need for practical experience, we’ve evolved our approach.
Now, students are tasked with creating virtual companies and addressing real problems within their communities using the operations management principles they’ve learned. This shift not only enhances their practical skills but also empowers them to make a positive impact. So far, we’ve successfully completed eight such projects, and I’m excited to see the innovative solutions our students continue to develop.
